As a fan of The Office... I might be a bit more like Dwight Schrute than I'd like to admit.
I typically enjoy the challenge of keeping my birthday "undercover" and don't do much celebrating.
This year, I decided to do something a bit different.
I'm asking my friends to consider making a donation to support the work of a local nonprofit that is close to my heart.

E-Romnja fights for the rights of Roma women and girls.
They are on a mission to affirm, promote, and fight to make visible the involvement of Roma women in society and in the community.
I've had the honor of getting to know Georgiana Aldessa Lincan, one of the team members at E-Romnja during per participation in the Good Accelerator program. This country needs more leaders like her.
"Aldessa grew up in a roma community fro Mizil, Romania. She did not have a good financial situation but she had the luck and the opportunity to meet people who helped her finish he studies. She became aware of the fact that not every roma girl has the context and the opportunity to access education and to follow their dreams. So Aldessa is now fighting for the rights of roma girls and women."
The work E-Romnja is doing in communities across Romania is changing the future for young women in this country.
